Curatorial Statement

'Contrary to what was assumed, namely to decide freely according to one's own preferences, the multiple perusal of the portfolios has unconsciously led to a condensation with regard to individual positions - motifs that particularly bundle the concerns of a group of works, series or working method, that particularly touch or provoke the sensibilities, were selected.

Perhaps the selection as a whole is obliged to a representative claim in a different way, because with it, the diversity of the photographic is echoed: committed-documentary, abstract, conceptual, installative, applied.

The process of selection thus invites us to reflect on how meaning is constructed and deciphered photographically and what conditionings of the gaze exist on both sides. The fact that there are also countless possibilities of individual tonalities is particularly evident in the juxtaposition of the images, which challenges and holds the gaze and yet, as a synopsis, may appear stubborn.'
