Curatorial Statement

'A range of positions that tends to include questions of architecture - inside and outside - urban and private - partly in interaction with nature. I am concerned with the possibility of the different perspectives that can be captured by the camera. Where can we look? How far can we see? What attracts attention? What structures, patterns, colourfulness become visible through the focus of the camera that would otherwise be overlooked? When does the photograph become an image? When does the picture become a narrative?

In my selection, the human being appears only marginally: Both as a legacy of those who live in the various architectures and of those who look at them through the camera, i.e. the photographer. The person behind the camera does not really remain invisible, but is present at the moment the picture is taken, which manifests itself in the photo. She or he inscribes himself or herself in the picture, leaves a trace.'
