2 years ago, the DFA celebrated its 100th anniversary with a week of festivities at the Haus der Photographie / Deichtorhallen in Hamburg. From October 7 - 13, 2019, two top-class exhibitions, numerous live presentations and talks as well as the awarding of the David Octavius Hill Medal to Ute Mahler and Werner Mahlerbrought together ten decades of artistic photography.

In November, the publication on this subject will now appear with a total of ten themed volumes in a slipcase: "1000 WIRKLICHKEITEN - 100 JAHRE GDL/DFA" is a time travel through German photography in all its diverse forms of expression.
