Documentation of the exhibition: "1000 Realities - 100 Years GDL/DFA" Haus der Photographie, Deichtorhallen Hamburg 09. - 13.10.2019 The exhibition provides an insight into the richness of images and ideas that have been developed over the course of a century in the field of artistic photography. Visions for the future are directly juxtaposed with the ideas of historical photographic positions. The objective is not to provide an all-encompassing museum exhibition in the form of a general survey of the work of 150 photographers, but rather the aim is to raise awareness amongst the public of the multiple forms of expression that exist in the medium of photography; ranging from authenticity to staging, image to abstraction, document to fiction, and intuition to concept. The exhibition was curated by Wolfgang Zurborn in collaboration with Nadine Preiß, Angela Hildebrand, Knut Wolfgang Maron, Andreas Langen and Dieter Seitz.
