Awarding of points by the jury
In the current DFA-Podcast #3, Ruprecht Skasa-Weiß talks, among other things, about the jury evaluation, which for a time took the form of awarding points by means of panels raised in the air. In the photo from the 1970s, Joachim Giesel can be seen awarding a full score. In fact, unlike Ruprecht Skasa-Weiß recalls, the weighting of points was also based on figure skating: the more points, the better the performance. In the background, another unique selling point of the GDL at the time can be seen: the clothesline on which the photos were presented.
