The Online Portfolio Walk

The German Photographic Academy gives great importance to offering photographers a platform for the presentation of their artistic work, even in times of the Corona pandemic. For this reason, we do not simply want to cancel the 15th Portfoliowalk, which was actually supposed to take place as part of the Darmstadt Days of Photography, but rather give it a new form. Starting in mid-April, we will publish 5 portfolios selected by the jury every month on the DFA's new web platform www.dfa.photography on Facebook and on Instagram.

The application deadline for the first season is 31 March. The following ones will be on the last day of the coming months.

We hope that the Darmstadt Days of Photography can still take place during the course of the year and that we can host the 15th Portfoliowalk in physical form within this framework. The jury will then select 20 portfolios from all those presented on tables, which can be presented to an expert audience from theory and practice.

The most convincing portfolios will also be published in the DFA magazine.

Application for the Portfoliowalk

• 10 pictures, jpgs, 1400 pixels (long side),
• Text for work, max 1000 characters
• and a recent biography.
• if available: Facebook and Instagram account name
