What happens when two photography enthusiasts with different focuses and preferences visit an exhibition, exchange ideas and share them with others via an Insta Livestream?

On 16 September between 10 and 11 a.m., Ursula Kelm (DFA) and @BorisEldagsen (DFA) visited Peter Miller's exhibition "Dear Photography" at C/O Berlin and streamed this visit live with two cameras on Instagram. Alexander Hagmann (@dieMotive) joined us from Hamburg and took part in the conversation. Finally, the curator of the exhibition, Dr. Kathrin Schönegg, answered our questions.

The conversation is in German, but you can watch the recording on YouTube with subtitles.

About the exhibition: With Peter Miller "Dear Photography", C/O Berlin presents the world's first institutional show of the work of the US artist, who lives in Germany. Today, he integrates his penchant for magic primarily into the media of film and photography. In addition, he also produces installations and sculptures, makes interventions in space and follows on from the performance art of the 1970s. In a wide variety of forms and materials, Peter Miller explores the history of technical media and their fundamental elements such as light and chemistry, audience and flicker effect, optics and perspective.

About Ursula Kelm (*1942): DFA member Ursula Kelm (@silberflugel) is a veteran of Berlin photography. Trained at the "Workshop for Photography" founded by Michael Schmidt in 1976, she taught there herself from 1985. Her work moves between expressive portrait photography and experimental photography. Alain Delon, Harry Belafonte, Helmut Newton, Daniel Libeskind, Olafur Eliasson, Nan Goldin, Gerhard Schröder, Helmut Schmidt, Gerhard Richter, Kirk Douglas, Christian Boltanski, Gisele Freund and others stood in front of her camera.
