DFA Podcast #13 | Achim Mohné: The Noise between Digitality and Compact Cassette
Köln
Cologne-based photographer and DFA member Achim Mohné is best known for his artistic works on phenomena of the digital, such as large-scale messages on rooftops and squares that are recorded by satellites and reproduced in Google Earth. However, he also links such media criticism with physical performance - for example, in the scanning of plants, which were subsequently processed into vegetarian dishes and eaten by the audience.
In conversation with Andreas Langen, Achim Mohné outlines his long path from Folkwang studies to journalistic commissioned work to current projects with augmented reality. His love of experimentation doesn't even stop at good old music cassettes. You can listen to an exclusive sample in the podcast!
