'Teaching & Learning Photography'

On November 9th, 2022, Eldagsen & Hagmann talk with Prof. Kai Jünemann, FH Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Anna Roters, student in the master program "Photography / Photographic Studies" about teaching and learning photography today: Why teachers are "personal development assistants", why there is no "market", what students can only learn from other students and why the request "make mistakes!" is meant seriously.

About Kai Jünemann:

  • Professor in photography with a focus on editorial/advertising. Substitute professor since 2014, then appointment in 2015.
  • Comes professionally from "applied photography" (portrait/advertising/fashion), diploma in Dortmund, meanwhile moved to Paris and worked there for about 15 years.

About Anna Roters:

  • Born 1996, is a German portrait and documentary photographer and part-time photo editor. She lives and works in Münster, NRW.
  • She studied photography at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2021 (Dirk Gebhardt, Sanne de Wilde). Now she is in the master 'Photographic Studies'. Her photographic work and interest is about people and their search for identity in modern society and culture.
  • She is a member of the Fotobus Society.
