Grew up in Leverkusen (Germany). PhD Art History, Philosophy and Theology at Bonn University; DAAD-Fellowship at Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max Planck Institute; curatorial positions in Cologne, Chemnitz, Augsburg; has been curating international exhibitions since the 1990ies.
Photographic images affect our way of seeing and our perception of the world stronger than the world's reality itself. I am interested in the status of photographic images mostly in their continuous development as an Art form. I don't consider photography as an isolated medium, rather as the omnipresent form of artistic perception of the world across artistic boundaries.
