Peter Thomann | The representation of movement and the capture of decisive moments (1977 - 2005)

Here I used a simple camera (Lomo), which records a motion sequence within 1 sec. on a negative. During the exposure time, a pinhole rotates in front of the film plane and shows the motive time-shifted, in 4 pictures of 1/25 sec. each on the 35mm negative. 1 Marching men by Bruce Naumann at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, 1997 2 Seagulls approaching, 2005 3 Visitors in the Titanic exhibition 1989, Hamburg 4 Golf Stroboscope Study, 1977 5 Arabesque jump 6 Horse Power 7 Mare with foal 5-7 are examples of capturing the decisive moment at the height of the movement.

I was interested to know where the Wall will find a new Location. I made Appointments and took photographs around the World: from Cape Ferrat to Paris, New York, Seattle, Phönix Arizona, Mexico City, bis Las Vegas, curiously, at the men's washroom from Main Street Station Casino.
