About

After my studies in Braunschweig and Amsterdam I worked and travelled in China and the USA, and had residencies in France and Norway. Today, I live as an artist, graphic designer and lecturer in Berlin.

Statement

Through my photographic work I try to grasp different realities. The main motivation is my curiosity. I’m interested in different levels of perception: my photographic images are narrative, but the stories they tell always remain mysterious.

Delia Keller | Tomorrow is Another Day (2017 – 2018)

Corridors, stairwells, interim spaces: the familiar and the strange. Long vanishing lines and possible dead ends: the photographs do not document any past event, they do not posit a future, they show a state where everything hangs in the balance.

Delia Keller | Before Midnight (2011 – 2013)

‘It is a world of the North, shrouded in melancholy; a flawless and uniquely static world at the moment of exposure. (...) Everything seems foreign, isolated and unrelated. The protagonists and their objects, even the medium in which they operate, appear to have fallen out of time.’ (Luminita Sabau)

Delia Keller | How It Feels When It Ends (2008)

‘It is no coincidence that the protagonist in the red dress gazes at a cinema in which external spaces are projected onto the screen and that the singular representation of human existence, inside and outside, yearning and reality, is depicted in these spaces.’ (Marc Wrasse)

Delia Keller | B-Dul Carol 1, Nr. 19 (2008)

A deserted lecture theatre with views of urban planning scenes and abstract mathematical calculations, paper left on a desk and an almost oppressive absence and stillness raise questions about the relationship between people, space and time.
